Sleeping Beauties

Jon took this picture of Jack & Will this morning. (Contrary to the date on the picture, this was taken this morning and not a couple of years ago.) They just look so cute, snuggled up together. I'm going to be feeling like this picture come around 3:00.

Enjoy!

Blog Me!!

Sooooo...as a way to make a little money and still do something I enjoy (writing), I am working with Google as a blogger. Every time someone visits my blog site and clicks on one or both of the ads at the top of the page (highlighted in blue), the advertiser pays Google, who then pays the website who hosts me (writingup.com) and then I get paid. The more people who click me, the more money I make. It's not anything outstanding--it could be 0.30 cents or it could be $3 a click, depending on the advertiser, but over time it adds up. And writing a blog usually takes me no more than twenty minutes. Seems like an easy way to make a little dough!

Writingup.com lists "profitable topics" that I have the option of writing about---or I can choose to write whatever I want. It doesn't matter, unless you want to try and make more money, so naturally I'm choosing topics from the list they provide. I have a few entries right now, feel free to read them. Please know that for the sake of artistic license and readability, some entries are embellished, lies or half-truths. Family names are never mentioned. My screen name is Zoe. There is no personal info on me anywhere except when I registered for tax documents from Google, so no one has to worry about someone coming to Woodstock and kidnapping me (haha) No pictures, either.

Anyway, I have a point to all this: I would love for you all to read my blogs, and maybe help me out a tad by clicking the ads. You don't have to buy anything, you don't have to sell your soul. Just click and watch me get some pennies into my bank account. I'm doing this because I think I make a good blogger (i.e., I know how to spell) and I enjoy writing so much. Plus, it's fun.

What do you have to do? Just visit this URL: http://www.writingup.com/blog/zoe and enjoy my blog entries. (And don't forget to click the ads). I really appreciate any help you all can give me. Feel free to pass along my blog to other folks, since the more clicks, the better.

Thank you!!

Feliz New Year!

Happy 2006 everyone! Hope you all had fun ringing in the New Year.

On New Year's Eve Jon, the boys, and myself had lunch at Chef Chang's. And we had a feast, which included Peking duck and noodles for good luck. Jack & Will didn't eat the duck itself, but liked the pancakes that went along with it. Jack stuffed his with rice, like a burrito. (Jack's fusion food!) He even painted a masterpiece with hoisen sauce on my pancake, but too bad I had to eat it (yeah, I felt really bad about that...yeah, right!) When the duck came to the table Will was practically leaping for it. He couldn't eat it, but we gave him some of the pancake and he loved it. That's our boy!

Later that night, after the boys went to bed, Jon made a candlelit dinner...of leftover Chinese food. We downed it with two bottles of wine. We were so into the wine that we almost didn't make it to ringing in the new year. Just as I turned the TV on I heard Dick Clark say, "2...1...Happy New Year!".

And speaking of Dick Clark, wow. Good for him for staying strong and going on TV. Still, it was sad to hear him speak. But my sadness quickly turned to laughter when I saw Ryan Seacrest interview Mariah Carey. Was she drunk? Did she booze it up to stay warm in the figure skating outfit she wore in 30 degree weather? She maybe kookie, but I still love her.

So that's how we rang in 2006. What did you all do?

Hope this year brings us all lots of happiness, laughter, prosperity, and continued good health. (Sorry if I sound like a fortune cookie. I've been eating left over Chinese food for days :)
