Even More Snow
Good Morning All -
Imagine our surprise when we got up this morning and found High Meadow dusted all in white. It was most unexpected. In fact when we got home last night after a great dinner with Sid and Barbara at Foster's Steakhouse (Maurie had fish & and I had chicken) at the Common Man Inn, he said he'd leave the car out since nothing in the way of precipitation as expected...this morning I said "the Runabout is not happy with you," since it's covered in snow. It will all melt fast though. Sounds like we're in for a cold Thanksgiving week and maybe a storm on Tuesday...
Sid and Barbara leave for Florida first thing Saturday morning. We will miss them as it's been very nice having someone to go out with. We sat for 3 hours over dinner last night just chatting. Sid has the greatest stories about his years owning all those beauty salons...incredible listening to him. They'll be back in May, in time for us all to go over to UNH to see Andre Rieau on 5/25 (sp?).
We bought a reconditioned digital camera for short money...still need to get a few accessories for it though, like the card and batteries, and will be bringing it with us when we leave here on Sunday...can't wait to try it. Be prepared to give us a 101 lesson with it. Maurie is studying the manual that came with it though.
Jon and I had a very exciting hour-long phone meeting with the marketing department of Sentient Publications. They seem to want to get behind the book in a big way. We are very pumped about it. Our contact said she would have a marketing plan drawn up within a week...this after she exclaimed about the 25-pages I sent her in response to their author questionnaire. It's nice to know we have someone helping us with the book's marketing...she seemed quite willing and able to call anyone anywhere to promote it! It will be a busy winter!!!
Cheerio,

I hope it snows next week. It would make for a really cozy Thanksgiving. :) It was very, very cold when I left the house at 6:45 this morning for the gym, no snow, but I found it invigorating...ask me again in three months... ;)
I'm glad your dinner was fun! I didn't know the Common Man had an Inn? Where is it?
Brian used our digital\video camera this morning to videotape a hungry turkey who was eating bird feed off the ground. The cats were glued to the windows. It was still there when I got home at 8:10! It must've been stocking up for the winter. It was so cute. And good eyes and ears! I exclaimed when I saw it, and it heard me, looked right at me, and booked it into the woods.
We can try and help if you guys have questions about your camera.
I'm excited about Sunday! It'll be great to see you all again! See you then,
Kat :)
WAY TO GO!
A digital camera! I expect blog postings with photos now you two! hehehehe
You might even be able to take still pictures with that webcam next time there's snow on the ground.
Oh.. the Common Man.. Now I want some sort of soup or chowder.... Maybe a copper penny or two. And a free plate of cheese and crackers... ah
Kat, do you think you can bring that turkey with you on Sunday? I have a deep fryer we can put him in while he's at the house.
See you guys on Sunday. WARNING! Pats vs. Saints at 1:00 in FOXBORO!
suddenly I no longer want turkey....
Just kidding!
:)) Kat
Wow! Thanks for the warning about the game in Foxboro...we will definitely plan around that...I hope that if we go through there after the game starts that the traffic will not be bad.
